Armenia suffered about 30 losses in last five days

The Armenian armed forces suffered about 30 losses in dead and injured as a result of the retaliatory actions taken by the Azerbaijani army from February 25 to March 2.

Axar.az reports that, “At last, after a long silence, the Armenian Defense Ministry released a short statement that several servicemen were wounded as a result of the detonation of an explosive during some engineering work on February 28 and were hospitalized in Yerevan,” said Azerbaijan’s Ministry Defence.

Armenia is simply trying to escape from public anger by releasing biased statements that do not correspond to reality, noted the Azerbaijani ministry.

The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict entered its modern phase when the Armenian SRR made territorial claims against the Azerbaijani SSR in 1988.

A fierce war broke out between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. As a result of the war, Armenian armed forces occupied some 20 percent of Azerbaijani territory which includes Nagorno-Karabakh and seven adjacent districts (Lachin, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan), and over a million Azerbaijanis became refugees and internally displaced people.
