Umerov: Significant progress made in Russia-Ukraine talks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s chief negotiator and head of Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service, Rustem Umerov, said significant progress has been made in the Russia-Ukraine talks.

Axar.az reports that Umerov told Axios that the number of stumbling blocks has been reduced from dozens to essentially one or two key issues that remain under negotiation.

“The trend is positive. The U.S. is highly focused on ending the war in Ukraine. The U.S. understands the situation on the battlefield and is signaling to everyone that this terrible war should end,” Umerov said.
