Iran launched its largest missile attack on Israel to date, firing 180 ballistic missiles, with most intercepted by Israel, the US, and Jordan's defense systems.

Axar.az reports that the missiles include the Shahab-3, which has a range of up to 1,200 kg and can be fired from mobile launchers. Iran’s newer missile, the Fattah-1, was also reportedly involved, which is said to have a maneuverable reentry vehicle, improving its ability to avoid defense systems.

Israel’s defenses include the Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and the Arrow 2 and 3 systems, which are designed to intercept threats at varying ranges and altitudes. The US also supported the interception effort with its Aegis defense system, launching anti-missile munitions from warships in the Mediterranean.
