Hungary will not support the EU's intention to impose sanctions on Israel over its military operation in the Gaza Strip.

Axar.az reports that Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó stated this.

He said that Hungary expects an agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement to cease fire and release hostages, including a Hungarian citizen:

"I believe that in the current situation, the need for dialogue has increased even more."
