Neither Russia nor Ukraine has the mobilization resources and reserves to conduct offensive operations.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the Ukrainian ambassador to the UK and former commander-in-chief of the armed forces.
“The demographic situation in both countries will worsen and, with the extension of the war, will approach catastrophic indicators. Most likely, human resources will be irreplaceable and, as a result, the most expensive,” Zaluzhnyi said.
According to him, technological advances and demographic and economic conditions in the coming years will most likely encourage a war of attrition:
“The war strategy will be more focused not on capturing territories, but on depleting the enemy’s resources and capabilities, creating chaos and, as a result, destroying the people’s ability to resist.”
