Former President Boris Yeltsin's presidential offer was unexpected for me, and I was not ready for it.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"There were very acute, urgent, and at the same time vital issues for the country, for its preservation and development. So, to be honest, I thought about what this meant for me, of course, but first of all, I thought about how to solve the problems we face. And I thought about whether I would be able to cope with it," Putin said.
