Stranger Things adds $1.4bn to US economy

Netflix’s popular series Stranger Things has contributed $1.4 billion to the US economy.

Axar.az reports that the production of the series created more than 8,000 new jobs.

The greatest economic benefit was received by the state of Georgia, where most of the series was filmed. The show contributed $650 million to the state’s gross domestic product, and more than 2,000 contractors were involved in the production process.

California ranked second, with a contribution of $500 million.
