Action-star Chuck Norris has been hospitalized following a medical emergency.

Axar.az reports, according to TMZ "some medical emergency occurred in the last 24 hours on the island of Kauai that landed Chuck in the hospital".

According to the reports, the hospitalization seems to have come unexpectedly. A friend who spoke with Norris by phone on Wednesday reported that the 86-year-old actor, while training on the island, remained in good spirits and was “cracking jokes.”

Norris turned 86 earlier this month and marked the occasion by posting a video to Instagram that showed him sparring with a trainer.

“I don’t age. I level up,” he wrote in one of his posts on social media accounts.

“I’m 86 today! Nothing like some playful action on a sunny day to make you feel young. I’m grateful for another year, good health and the chance to keep doing what I love. Thank you all for being the best fans in the world. Your support through the years has meant more to me than you’ll ever know,” he wrote in his caption.
