People’s artist, sculptor Tokay Mammadov died at age 91 in his home this morning, APA reported.

Tokay Mammadov is the author of the statues to Mahammad Fuzuli, Nasimi, Uzeyir Hajibayov and Koroglu.

Tojay habib oglu Mammadov was born in Baku on July 18, 1927. His father, Habib, was doctor of technological sciences and his mother Zivar Mammadova was Azerbaijan’s first female sculptor. Tokay Mammadov received his primary education from his mother.
