Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he plans to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington on August 18.

Axar.az reports that Zelensky shared this on his Telegram channel following a phone call with Trump and European leaders.

“On Monday in Washington, I will discuss all the details of ending the conflict with President Trump. I am grateful for the invitation,” he said.

Zelensky added that the phone call lasted one and a half hours and was meaningful. He noted that Trump revealed the key points of his negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin:

“We support Trump’s proposal for a three-way meeting between Ukraine, the U.S., and Russia. Ukraine emphasizes that key issues can be discussed at the leadership level, and the three-way format is appropriate for this.”

He also stressed the importance of Europe’s participation at all stages of the negotiations to ensure reliable security in cooperation with the U.S.
