We reject the repeated baseless accusations against Turkiye in the "2024 Human Rights Report" published by the U.S. Department of State.

Axar.az reports that the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on this.

It was stated that Turkiye, based on the rule of law, successfully fights against all forms and manifestations of terrorism within the framework of rights and freedoms:

“The allegations contained in the report regarding these issues are far from reality. Moreover, we regret the inclusion of unfounded and false claims put forward with manipulative rhetoric by the FETÖ terrorist organization.”

The statement noted that Turkiye’s counter-terrorism operations in Syria are carried out on the basis of the right to self-defense, without harming civilians or infrastructure. It was also emphasized that portraying these operations outside the framework of justice and legality is extremely wrong.
