The United Kingdom is ready to further tighten sanctions against Russia.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

He said that if no agreement is reached regarding the resolution of the Ukraine conflict, Moscow will face new restrictions:

"Sanctions will continue and have a greater impact on the country’s economy until Russia halts its military operations. Britain’s support for Ukraine will continue as needed."

K. Starmer also praised US President Donald Trump’s efforts aimed at resolving the conflict and noted that, in this regard, the end of the war seems closer than ever.
