It was a beautiful and very successful day in Alaska. The meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin went very well, and also in the evening, there was a phone conversation with various European leaders, including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the highly respected NATO Secretary-General.

Axar.az reports that U.S. President Donald Trump stated this regarding the Alaska meeting.

“Everyone agreed that the best way to end the terrible war between Russia and Ukraine is not simply a ceasefire agreement but to move directly to a peace agreement that will end the war,” Trump stated.

The U.S. president said that President Zelensky will come to the Oval Office in Washington on Monday:

“If everything goes well, we will schedule a meeting with President Putin. This could potentially save millions of lives.”

Donald Trump’s statement that his goal is a peace agreement rather than the signing of a ceasefire deal was met with interest.
