A phone conversation took place between Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha on August 16.
Axar.az reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan released information about this.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister conveyed his congratulations on the agreements reached between Azerbaijan and the United States during the visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the U.S., as well as on the achievements in the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process.
During the phone conversation, current issues of partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine were discussed, including cooperation in political, economic, energy, transport, and humanitarian fields. The sides noted that the work of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ukraine is of great importance in terms of developing cooperation.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, in turn, expressed gratitude for the humanitarian assistance provided by Azerbaijan to Ukraine, including support in the restoration and reconstruction of conflict-affected areas.
Andriy Sybiha also provided information about the negotiation process surrounding the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the phone conversation.
