Agricultural products continue to drop in price

The cost prices for agricultural products in Azerbaijan have dropped by 10 percent in January-May 2016, as compared to the same period in 2015, said the message from the country's State Statistical Committee.

During the reporting period, the cost prices for crop products have decreased by 20.9 percent, while the cost prices for livestock products have increased by 1.4 percent.

The cost prices for crop products have dropped by 1.8 percent, while the cost prices for livestock products have increased by 0.3 percent in May, as compared to April 2016.

The prices for cucumbers, tomatoes, beans and cabbage have dropped, while the prices for tea and apples have increased during the reporting period.

The prices for milk, goat meat and mutton have decreased, while the cost prices for eggs, pork and poultry meat have increased in May.

No changes were observed in the prices for other types of livestock and crop products.
