The names of 3502 Russian soldiers killed in Ukraine have been identified. This is an incomplete list of casualties, but the data collected allows us to analyze what happened to the Russian army during the war.
Axar.az informs, this was reported by the BBC.
"Local authorities do not disclose the names of all the dead. "We are constantly discovering new evidence of Russian army funerals in cemeteries in various Russian cities."
It is noted that 20% of the dead served in the Air Force, and 19% in the motorized infantry:
"17% of all confirmed casualties are officers. The number of dead hidden by Russian authorities in each cemetery varies from 30% to 100%. This figure does not include the number of missing Russian servicemen, as it is impossible to determine their number, as well as the number of dead who joined the separatist military groups in the occupied Donbas before February 24, 2022. As of June 9, the maximum number of servicemen killed in the region was announced by the Dagestan authorities and the media - 199. Thus, the number of those on the confirmed list of casualties is likely to be at least 40% -70% less than the real figure. 46% of the dead volunteers are over 40 years old. The number of fighters over the age of 50 was 20. The list of casualties we can confirm includes 124 employees of the Russian Guard, including fighters from the elite units Vityaz, Roshich, and Typhoon. Among the dead were at least 73 GRU special forces soldiers and a lieutenant colonel of the FTC's Alpha special forces.
