Iran says talks with US possible despite mistrust

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that Tehran considers negotiations with the United States possible, despite existing mistrust toward Washington.

Axar.az reports that “Despite distrust toward the enemy, the Islamic Republic of Iran considers negotiations possible from a position of dignity, wisdom and expediency,” his press service quoted him as saying.

Pezeshkian added that Iran must consolidate on the diplomatic stage everything its armed forces have achieved on the battlefield.
