The ambassadors of the United States and Great Britain to our country commemorated the Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny, who died in prison, in front of the statue of Huseyn Javid.

Axar.az reports that on behalf of Ambassador Mark Libby, it was shared on the social media pages of the US Embassy and the X page of Fergus Auld, the British Ambassador to our country.

"I offer my deepest condolences to the wife and family of Alexei Navalny. Freedom-loving people everywhere will never forget his bravery," Ambassador Libby said.

British Ambassador Fergus Auld noted:

"Today, together with US Ambassador Mark Libby, I laid flowers in front of Huseyn Javid's monument to honour the memory of Alexei Navalny, who showed incredible courage during his life to defend the better future of Russian democracy."
