The memorial ceremony for Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi at the UN has been widely covered by international media outlets. Images from the ceremony have drawn attention due to the large number of empty seats.

Axar.az reports that many member states of the UN boycotted the memorial ceremony and refrained from participating in the session.

It's worth noting that the United Nations General Assembly, consisting of 193 countries, traditionally holds memorial ceremonies in honor of any world leader in power at the time of their passing. However, the decision to hold a ceremony for Ebrahim Raisi has sparked widespread criticism.
