As we reported, the State Security Service (SSS) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) have neutralized a terrorist group with a joint special operation.

Axar.az reports that Əlipasha Kamilov, a member of the group, resisted special forces officers at a hiding location in Gusar city by throwing two "RGO-78" hand grenades, resulting in the injury of one of the special forces officers. However, Əlipasha Kamilov was neutralized.

Members of the illegal armed group hiding in secret shelters in the forest area near Jibir village—Qadir Hajiyev, Riyad Safaraliyev, Valerik Adilov, and Umud Gulaliyev—were killed while resisting and detonating explosive devices.

Moreover, urgent measures revealed the hiding locations of the terrorist group members: Nazim Zakiyev was found at a farm near Hil village, and Kamran Karimkhanov and Rovshan Lachinov were hiding in the area of Hil village.They were neutralized while offering armed resistance to law enforcement officers.

The members of the criminal group — Ahmadov, Rahim Mirzabeyov, David Rashidov, Sharafeddin Mahmudov, Abugul Babayev, and Elchin Alirzayev — have been charged under Articles 28, 214.2.1, 28, 214.2.3, and 28, 214.2.6 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan (preparation for terrorism based on religious hostility, religious radicalism and religious fanaticism by using firearms and objects used as weapons in the case of a criminal association (criminal organization)) and other relevant articles, and a preventive measure of arrest was chosen for them by the court's decision.

Currently, investigative and operational measures on criminal cases are continuing.
