Armenia doesn’t rule out joining possible 3+3 meeting in Baku

Speaker of Parliament of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, did not rule out the possibility of Armenian participation in a potential 3+3 format meeting to be held in Azerbaijan.

Axar.az informs, citing Armenpress, “I don’t think it would be a sound approach to remain outside any regional format, and I do not rule out the participation of the Armenian delegation in some planned event in Baku,” Simonyan said at a press briefing when asked about Armenia’s stance regarding the proposed 3+3 format meeting in Baku.

He emphasized that all regional-format meetings and discussions should be attended.

“If there are any issues, we will raise them. For example, the presence of detained individuals and prisoners is a concern for me, but I believe that, as in the past, it is a matter that can be discussed and resolved. However, in my opinion, not participating is simply not an option,” Simonyan added.
