Bayramov and Fidan discuss regional tensions

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone call with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan.

Axar.az informs, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the conversation, the ministers discussed the current military and political situation in the region, rising tensions in the Middle East, and related security risks.

They stressed that any further spread of regional escalation would be unacceptable and emphasized the importance of resolving issues through diplomatic means in line with international law and its principles.

The ministers underlined the need to preserve regional stability and security, highlighting that protecting civilians and civilian infrastructure remains a top priority.

They also noted that the strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Turkiye has become even more significant amid the current challenges, reaffirming that the two brotherly nations will continue close coordination.

The call also included an exchange of views on other matters of mutual interest.
