On March 5, Turkiye’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hakan Fidan, called the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Axar.az informs that according to information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan during the phone conversation a strong protest was expressed regarding the missile attack launched yesterday by the Islamic Republic of Iran toward Turkiye, as well as today’s drone attack on Azerbaijan.

It was emphasized that such attacks are unacceptable.

It was also stressed that these attacks contradict the norms and principles of international law and contribute to increasing tensions in the region.

During the call, it was noted that in order to ensure security, flights to Nakhchivan will be temporarily redirected to Igdir Airport.

During the phone conversation, the ministers emphasized the importance of continuing coordination arising from the strategic alliance between the two countries.
