President Erdogan condemned drone attack on Nakhchivan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has condemned the drone attack on Nakhchivan.

Axar.az reports he spoke about his phone conversation with the President of Azerbaijan during an Iftar gathering with artists and entrepreneurs in Ankara.

“In my conversation with my brother Ilham Aliyev, I expressed my regret over the attack on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and condemned it,” the Turkish President said.

The head of state also recalled the Iranian missile strike near Turkiye’s southern border the previous day.

“We drew Iran’s attention to the importance of friendship with Turkiye and called on them to avoid actions that could harm good neighborly relations,” he added.

According to Erdogan, Ankara continues its diplomatic efforts to prevent bloodshed in the region and stop escalation from reaching an irreversible stage.

“I am confident that Turkiye will successfully emerge from this zone of regional turbulence,” Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized.
