Montenegro’s Deputy PM called Azerbaijan’s FM Bayramov

On March 6, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, Ervin Ibrahimovic, held a phone conversation with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

Axar.az informs during the telephone conversation, discussions mainly focused on regional security issues. The ministers emphasized the importance of stepping up diplomatic efforts and upholding the norms and principles of international law amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

FM Bayramov briefed his counterpart on the drone attacks targeting Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic carried out by the Islamic Republic of Iran on March 5, condemning them as violations of territorial integrity and international law.

Minister Ervin Ibrahimovic strongly condemned Iran’s drone attacks on Azerbaijan, expressed his concern, noting that he perceived Azerbaijan’s position with understanding and expressed his solidarity with the country.

The conversation also included discussions on other matters of mutual interest.
