The United States strongly condemns the unprovoked drone attack by the Iranian regime on Azerbaijan on March 5, which targeted Nakhchivan International Airport and a children’s school, causing injuries to innocent civilians and damage to critical civilian infrastructure.

Axar.az informs this was stated in the U.S. State Department’s statement.

The statement noted that these attacks constitute a blatant violation of Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and are the result of Iran’s unwarranted escalation of aggression.

“The United States stands in full solidarity with Azerbaijan against these threats. Attacks on the territory of our partners in the region are unacceptable and will be met with the United States’ resolute support for those partners,” the statement emphasized.
