Evacuation of foreign nationals through the “Astara” state border checkpoint continues.

This time, 13 Russian, 1 Kazakh, and 4 Chinese citizens were evacuated from Iran into Azerbaijan.

The evacuation process involved document checks, registration, and other necessary procedures, with all measures taken to ensure safe passage at the border checkpoint. After registration, evacuees were safely sent to their respective destinations.

The evacuation at the “Astara” border checkpoint continues without interruption, with all crossings conducted according to established procedures under the supervision of the relevant authorities.

It should be recalled that on February 28, the United States and Israel launched military operations against Iran, resulting in the deaths of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several high-ranking officials. Following this, Iran began striking targets in Israel as well as in countries hosting U.S. and allied military bases, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, and Cyprus.

As a result, many foreign nationals are being evacuated from Iran via Azerbaijan.
