Poland thanks Azerbaijan for help evacuating citizens

On March 17, Radosław Sikorski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland, made a phone call to Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports the ministers underscored that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East poses significant security threats at both regional and international levels, emphasizing the importance of de-escalation and the restoration of the negotiation process. Radosław Sikorski strongly condemned Iran’s drone attacks on Azerbaijan, expressing his country’s solidarity with Azerbaijan. The Polish minister thanked Azerbaijan for the support provided in evacuating Poland’s diplomats and citizens from Iranian territory.

During the telephone conversation, the ministers highlighted the significant potential of Azerbaijan-Poland relations across politics, economy, alternative energy, humanitarian, and other areas. They emphasized the importance of reciprocal visits and active political dialogue in advancing bilateral ties.

Discussions also covered other regional and international security issues.
