Turkiye’s Ministry of National Defense hosted Azerbaijani war veterans and their families at the Ankara Air Museum on the occasion of September 19 Veterans’ Day.

Axar.az reports that the ministry said the event brought together Azerbaijani veterans who defended their homeland at the cost of their lives.

"On the occasion of Veterans’ Day on September 19, we were greatly honored to host the heroic veterans of dear Azerbaijan, who defended their homeland at the cost of their lives, and their esteemed families at the Ankara Aviation Museum Directorate.

During the meaningful program held at the Ankara Aviation Museum Directorate, we listened to the memories of our heroes and shared together the pride of our common history and victories.

We commemorate with mercy all our martyrs and veterans who have passed away, foremost among them our Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and express our gratitude to our veterans who are still with us," the Ministry stated.
