2023 was a particularly significant year for Azerbaijan. By eliminating the "grey" zone existing in our territories and putting an end to separatism, we have restored the sovereignty and constitutional structure of our country, thereby ensuring the celebration of international law and justice.

Axar.az reports that these ideas were included in the address of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the participants of the 5th conference of labour ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held in Baku.

"The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has always condemned Armenia's thirty-year-long aggression and occupation policy against Azerbaijan, constantly and consistently supported Azerbaijan's rightful cause and territorial integrity both during the Second Karabakh War and in the post-war period. Therefore, we express our gratitude to the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Unfortunately, during the years of occupation, our cities and villages were deliberately destroyed and looted, and cultural and religious monuments were destroyed by Armenia. In addition, according to preliminary estimates, Armenia buried about one million mines in our occupied territories, where it committed urbicide, culturicide and ecocide. The Armenians, who committed genocide against the cultural heritage of our people, insulted the feelings not only of us but of the Muslims of the whole world by razing our mosques to the ground. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation strongly condemned the destruction and looting of Islamic historical and cultural monuments and shrines by Armenia in our previously occupied territories and strongly condemned the desecration of mosques. Therefore, we once again express our gratitude to the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the General Secretariat of the Organization", the application emphasized.
