Some myths should not be created about countries rich in oil and gas. These countries have made great efforts to solve climate issues. Today, the UAE, Azerbaijan and Brazil operate as a troika.

Axar.az reports that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made these words at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin on April 26.

Emphasizing that these countries have taken steps in the direction of spending the obtained income on green energy, the head of state said:

"COP29 will not be an arena of conflict. Azerbaijan will create bridges as the host. "Azerbaijan intends to play the role of a bridge between the West and the Global South, including the transition to green energy and climate change."
