President Ilham Aliyev noted that peace has been ensured in the region, the principles underlying the peace agreement and the initiator of its text are the Azerbaijani side, and stressed that efforts to advance the normalization process and the peace agenda are continuing on a bilateral basis.

Axar.az reports that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said this during a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on June 20.

Appreciating the determination of the United States to contribute to the peace agenda, the head of state noted the importance of putting an end to the territorial claims against Azerbaijan based on the constitution, relevant laws and internal normative legal acts in Armenia from the point of view of advancing the peace agenda.

President Ilham Aliyev added that the time has long come to officially terminate the activity of the non-functional OSCE Minsk Group and all institutions related to it in order to completely close the page of the conflict, which is a remnant of the past.
