Turkiye delayed Bastion for a month

Absurd actions of the Armenian leadership in the arena of foreign policy lead to chaos.

Axar.az reports that this was said by Armenian professor Arthur Khachikyan, doctor of political sciences at Stanford University, USA.

"The foreign policy of Armenia is still unclear. It is reported that Yerevan wants to leave Russia, but it is not leaving. Then it is reported that Armenia is moving towards the West, but as a result, this does not happen either," he said.

According to him, foreign policy should not be based on children's fairy tales, but on a sober assessment of opportunities and pragmatism. As an example, Khachikyan indicated the possibility of Yerevan acquiring French CAESAR artillery installations:

"Of course, this is a much more serious technique than the "Bastions" purchased from France. But the question is, how will these devices be delivered to Armenia, even if there is a problem with the unusable "Bastion" - with a call from Ankara, Armenian cargoes were delayed for a month at the Georgian port. Suppose we can bring the equipment to Armenia, how will the ammunition of these equipment be delivered? We all remember that Georgia closed the border to us during the war. Where are the guarantees that this will not happen if there is a new war? How will these parameters be used in this case?"

Khachikyan noted that Iran is the only country interested in the existence of Armenia in the region, and it is with that country that it is necessary to increase military-technical cooperation, but the leadership of Yerevan does not take this step:

"Besides, Armenia completely spoiled its relations with Russia. This resulted in the rapprochement of Moscow and Baku. In other words, the country's foreign policy has been a complete fiasco. Azerbaijan takes a strong position and will not stop. Because Baku believes that it can still get a lot from Armenia."
