The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran will resume its activities within 15-20 days.

Axar.az reports with reference to Report that Mojtaba Demirchilu, head of the Eurasian Department of the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), said this.

"The embassy of Azerbaijan in Tehran is expected to resume its activities in the next 15-20 days," he stressed.

According to him, official Tehran has not yet appointed a new ambassador of Iran to Azerbaijan.

The MFA official added that the appointment of the ambassador will be considered after the formation of a new government in Iran.

It should be noted that in the second round of the presidential elections held on July 5, Azerbaijani Turk, reformer Masud Pezeshkian was elected president, defeating his opponent Said Jalili.
