The next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent.

Axar.az reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan released information about this.

It was reported that the delegation of Azerbaijan was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Samir Sharifov, and the delegation of Uzbekistan was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bobur Usmanov.

During the political consultations, political, economic, transport, cultural, humanitarian and other issues of mutual interest between the countries were discussed, as well as an exchange of views on cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations.

It was specially emphasized that the recent development of relations between the two brotherly countries with common historical roots, language, religion and traditions was determined by the strong political will and joint practical efforts of the heads of state.

Satisfaction with the level of strategic partnership relations based on the principles of mutual trust and respect was expressed, it was noted that the increased contacts at the highest and highest levels contributed greatly to bilateral relations.

It was emphasized that holding the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in Azerbaijan is an indicator of the country's growing influence in the international world.

Within the framework of political consultations, views were exchanged between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan on the contract-legal basis and the projects under consideration, as well as an inventory of the documents signed between the two countries was carried out.
