Georgia is not a U.S. state

Although our country is called "Georgia" in English (which is also the name of a U.S. state), we are not a U.S. state.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Shalva Papuashvili, the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament.

He spoke about the sanctions imposed by the U.S. on Georgian citizens.

"No one from the outside can interfere in Georgia's internal affairs from a justice standpoint. If they have any claims or evidence against a Georgian citizen, they should present them. However, they cannot do this. Therefore, this decision is completely arbitrary and unfounded," Shalva Papuashvili stated.
