President Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

Dear Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich,

On the occasion of the national holiday of the Republic of Kazakhstan—Republic Day—I sincerely congratulate you and, through you, all your people on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, and I convey my best wishes.

Thanks to your resolute policies aimed at the comprehensive development of our brotherly Kazakhstan and the reforms you have implemented, your country has achieved significant accomplishments and successes, gaining high respect in the international arena. I take great pride in seeing your country transformed into a flourishing and modern land on every visit to Kazakhstan.

It is gratifying to see the relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, which are strengthened by our common historical and cultural roots and based on mutual trust and support, expanding day by day and enriching with new content. High-level visits, regular contacts, numerous documents signed in various fields, and joint projects play a significant role in the development of our multifaceted cooperation. In this regard, I would like to especially mention your state visit to Azerbaijan in March of this year.

Azerbaijan is interested in developing effective partnerships with brotherly Kazakhstan in various fields such as economy, transport and logistics, digitalization, infrastructure, energy, humanitarian issues, and other areas of mutual interest, as well as in implementing joint projects.

I am confident that we will continue our joint efforts successfully to expand Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations in both bilateral and multilateral formats, deepen our cooperation in all areas for the prosperity of our peoples and welfare of our countries and the region, and further strengthen our strategic partnership and alliance.

On this festive day, I wish you strong health, happiness, and success in your endeavors, and I wish the brotherly people of Kazakhstan lasting peace, prosperity, and well-being.
