Israel’s stance on Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, including Nagorno-Karabakh, has remained the same since before the 2020 war, according to Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan George Deek.

Axar.az reports he stated that Israel has always been clear about its position on this issue:

"We believe that such friendship and honesty are tested in difficult times, and we have always stood by each other, especially in the toughest moments. We congratulate Azerbaijan for fully liberating Karabakh. I can say that I have been to every region of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur. This is something I will always remember fondly. Unfortunately, I must also report that we witnessed the level of devastation and destruction there."

Israel has always said, and I reiterate now: our country is always ready to cooperate with Azerbaijan on the restoration, rehabilitation, and social or economic projects in the liberated territories. For example, we have collaborated in agriculture in the village of Agali in Zangilan to provide not only produce but also employment for people returning there. I know that Israeli companies are involved in various projects in areas such as Agdam, Zangilan, and other places."
