Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Slovenian Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs Tanya Fayon within the framework of his participation in the 31st meeting of the Council of Ministers of the OSCE.
Axar.az was informed about this by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the prospects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovenia, as well as issues on the regional and international agenda, were discussed.
J. Bayramov noted that Azerbaijan attaches importance to the development of bilateral and multilateral relations based on friendship, mutual respect and beneficial cooperation with Slovenia. It was emphasized that mutual visits and permanent political dialogue are important for the further development of our relations.
The existence of important opportunities for the development of cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, energy, especially "green energy" was brought to attention.
The other side was also informed in detail about our country's hosting and chairmanship of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), the results of the session, and it was noted that Azerbaijan will continue to contribute to international efforts to combat climate change. , it was stated that we are ready for cooperation in this direction.
The Minister also informed about the current situation and realities in the region during the post-conflict period, the large-scale restoration and construction works carried out in the territories freed from occupation, as well as the latest situation in the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization agenda.
During the meeting, views were also exchanged on topics of mutual interest between the two countries.
