Azerbaijan and Ukraine discuss cooperation

On February 20, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received the Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Oleksandr Mishenko.

Axar.az reports that during the meeting, topical issues of the current cooperation agenda between the two countries and the situation in the region were discussed.

During the meeting, the parties emphasized the position consistently demonstrated by the two countries on the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and inviolability of borders of states, as well as the importance of relations between the countries based on the fundamental principles of international law and mutual respect.

The counterpart noted that Azerbaijan's contribution to the restoration and reconstruction of the conflict-affected regions of Ukraine, as well as the humanitarian aid sent to the Ukrainian people, was highly appreciated.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on other regional and global issues of mutual interest.

On the same day, political consultations were held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Ukraine. The political consultations were chaired by Deputy Minister Samir Sharifov from Azerbaijan and Oleksandr Mishenko from Ukraine.
