Over the past year, Azerbaijan and Armenia have made significant progress in the normalization process through direct bilateral discussions, in particular in the direction of preparing a bilateral peace agreement, delimitation, and demarcation of the state border.

Axar.az reports that this was stated today by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov at the High-Level Meeting of the 56th Session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva.

"At this point, we expect that Armenia will remove the main obstacle in the normalization process by legally renouncing its territorial claims against Azerbaijan through amendments to the Constitution," he noted.
