Turkiye reaffirms non-recognition of Crimea’s annexation by Russia.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in a declaration issued by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the 11th anniversary of Crimea’s annexation.

The statement emphasized that the referendum held by the Russian Federation on March 16, 2014, was illegitimate and that the current de facto situation in Crimea is not recognized.

Additionally, Turkiye affirmed that it will continue to closely monitor the situation of Crimean Tatars and keep developments on the peninsula on the international agenda.
