On 21 June, earthlings are going to witness full moon on the day of June Solstice—an unusual phenomenon that has not been seen for the past 50 years, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) told on Friday.

According to ANAS, in the coming days, the Sun will reach its highest position in the sky in the northern hemisphere, while in the southern hemisphere it will be at the lowest position. This phenomenon will then be followed by the appearance of full moon.

“In late June, the sky will be adorned by the Delta Aquarids meteor shower. On 11-12 August, the Perseids meter shower, known for numerous “falling starts”, will begin. During this phenomenon about 100 meteor showers will be observed per hour. On 27 August, Jupiter and Venus, both of which cannot be seen except by a telescope, will come close to each other,” said the ANAS.

According to information, an unusual solar eclipse will occur on the first day of the fall, when the Moon will get in the way of the Sun, blocking most of its light.
