Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has welcomed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s congratulations to the Ukrainian people, expressing hope for stronger ties between the two countries.

Axar.az reports that Zelensky made the remarks on X.

"I received warm congratulations for the people of Ukraine from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel.

Our countries share deep bonds – between our people in the first place, but also in the economy, culture, and other areas. It is therefore good to hear of Israel’s desire to strengthen these existing ties. We count on working fruitfully together to bring about more security," he said.
