"Nagorno-Karabakh belongs to Azerbaijan", Iveta Mukuchyan, the representative of Armenia at the Eurovision 2016 song contest, told in her interview to local reporters in Greece.

`Nagorno-Karabakh belongs to Azerbaijan. However, the region is still considered as disputed territories. The issue have been discussed with `big brother` Russia for many years. Unfortunately, the sides could not reach any agreement. People living in the borderline regions suffer from long-term war between Azerbaijan and Armenia. It should be ended`, Mukuchyan said while answering the question on waving of so-called regime.

On May 10, Armenian singer Iveta Mukuchyan waved the flag of so-called `Nagorno-Karabakh Republic` during the Eurovision 2016 song contest. As a consequence, the organizers of the contest threatened Armenia with sanctions.

`Only thing I want to say and share is peace. I want peace at the borders. Armenia wants peace. That is why I wrote this song - to spread the wave of love. I wish the restoration of peace around the world. To draw the world`s attention to peace, I raised the flag`, Mukuchyan said in the Press Conference held after contest.

Armenian contender Iveta Mukuchyan won the 7th place Eurovision Song Contest 2016 Grand Final.
