The Global Firepower website has released its 2026 ranking of the world's strongest militaries.

Axar.az reports that the ranking assesses the military capabilities of 145 countries using more than 60 factors, including personnel strength, defense spending, land, air and naval forces, technological capabilities, and other military assets.

The top 10 countries in the 2026 ranking are the United States, Russia, China, India, South Korea, France, Japan, the United Kingdom, Turkiye, and Italy.

Azerbaijan is ranked 60th, while Georgia placed 95th and Armenia ranked 101st.

Note that, Armenia was 91st in the 2025 edition of the index.
