Kuwait says 32 drones downed amid Iranian attacks

Kuwait's air defense systems are intercepting hostile drone attacks.

Axar.az reports that the official X account of the Kuwait Army General Staff Headquarters said the interceptions came in response to what it described as Iranian aggression.

According to the statement, any explosion sounds heard across the country were caused by air defense systems intercepting incoming hostile drones.

The Kuwaiti military urged the public to follow all safety and security instructions issued by the relevant authorities.

Kuwait’s armed forces have detected and intercepted 32 hostile drones that have entered the country’s airspace since dawn.

The statement was published by the official account of the Kuwait Army General Staff Headquarters on X.

According to the military spokesperson Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan, the drones were successfully intercepted and neutralized. He said the attacks targeted several vital facilities in Kuwait, while debris from intercepted drones fell in residential areas, causing material damage but no casualties.

Al-Atwan added that the armed forces continue to carry out their duties with full readiness and efficiency to strengthen national security and protect the safety of citizens and residents.
