Yerevan takes over Tsarukyan's sports complex

The Multi Wellness sports complex, owned by Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan, has been transferred to the ownership of the Yerevan Municipality.

Axar.az reports, citing Armenian media, according to the municipality, the complex was built on municipal land that had been transferred to private ownership in violation of regulations. As a result, Yerevan City Hall unilaterally terminated the agreement, and the building has now been fully transferred to municipal ownership.

The municipality stressed that the violations had been identified a year ago and that the decision was unrelated to the ongoing criminal proceedings against Tsarukyan.

On July 6, the Investigative Committee carried out large-scale searches at Tsarukyan's home and more than 70 properties linked to him. Following the operation, all of the properties were sealed, and the businessman was remanded in custody for two months.
