Azerbaijan today occupies a special place in the Turkic world. The First Turkological Congress was a significant historical event for the entire Turkic world.

Axar.az informs that Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, made the remarks in his address to the participants of the Turkic World Week dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress in Baku.

The address said: "The Congress has become an indicator of the unshakable unity of fraternal countries. The ideas put forward at this congress are still relevant today.”
