Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and his spouse Yelena Zelenskaya were on a visit to the Ukrainian Educational and Cultural Center at the Baku Slavic University on December 17.

t was noted that the Ukrainian Educational and Cultural Center, established at the university in 2001, is contributing to the development of relations between our countries. The Center plays an important role in the promotion of Ukrainian culture in Azerbaijan. On the basis of the center, Ukrainian students study Ukrainian language and literature.

It also hosts various cultural events, anniversaries on Ukrainian history and culture. Created under the Educational-Cultural Center, the Slavic Gym ansamble takes part in various cultural events organized by the Ukrainian Embassy and Baku Slavic University.

Lesya Karimova noted that the Center conducts scientific research to study the cultural heritage of Ukraine and Azerbaijan. The Center closely cooperates with the Embassy of Ukraine in our country, the Azerbaijani Diaspora of Ukraine and universities of Ukraine.

Later, the Slavyanochka ensemble sang songs in Ukrainian. Then President Vladimir Zelensky and First Lady Elena Zelenskaya met with representatives of the Ukrainian Diaspora. Representatives of the Diaspora reported to the President on their activities in Azerbaijan.

Highly appreciating the activities of the Diaspora Vladimir Zelensky expressed his gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the created conditions.
